Krupp - Eine deutsche Familie Deutsch Dolby Digital 2.0 Als Alleinerbin des 'Kanonenkönigs Fritz' erlebt Bertha (Iris Berben, Valerie Koch) als junges Mädchen die glanzvollen Zeiten, in denen Krupp unter Kaiser Wilhelm II. zur 'Waffenschmiede des Deutschen Reichs' wird. Ihre Mutter Margarethe (Barbara Auer) erzieht Bertha nach einem streng preußischen Regelsystem. Älter geworden zieht sie die Fäden im Hintergrund, da ihr als Frau, die Unternehmensführung nicht gestattet ist. Unerbittlich schwört sie ihren Ältesten Alfried (Benjamin Sadler) die vertrauten Werte ein: 'Krupp' steht über allem. Als 'Kronprinz' des riesigen Konzerns und Patenkind von Wilhelm II. wächst er isoliert von seinen sechs jüngeren Geschwistern in der Villa Hügel in Essen auf. Er wird zeitlebens um seine persönliche Unabhängigkeit kämpfen müssen. Seine große Liebe, Anneliese (Mavie Hörbiger), hält dem Druck nicht stand und verlässt ihn schließlich; der gemeinsame Sohn Arndt (Nikolai Kinski) wächst ohne ihn auf. Alfried übernimmt mitten im 2. Weltkrieg die Unternehmensleitung - und wird von den Alliierten später als Kriegsverbrecher vor Gericht gestellt. Als er in den 50er Jahren sein Vermögen zurück erhält gestaltet sich der Wiederaufbau sehr mühevoll. Und so entschließt er sich, die Firma von der Familie zu trennen und in eine Stiftung umzuwandeln: eine Entscheidung, die das Ende der großen Stahldynastie besiegelt. Der historische Fernsehfilm des ZDF in drei Teilen erzählt die Geschichte der Familie Krupp im 20. Jahrhundert als eines der facettenreichsten Kapitel der deutschen Vergangenheit - Erfolgsstory, Skandalreport, Polit-Thriller und menschliche Tragödie zugleich. Dreiteiler mit den Episoden: 1. Die USA waren seit über 50 Jahren nicht mehr in einen Weltkrieg verwickelt. Dennoch haben unzählige Dinge des täglichen Gebrauchs ihren Ursprung in Erfindungen, die ursprünglich für kriegerische Einsätze vorgesehen waren - von Haarbürsten bis hin zur Mikrowelle. Auf der einen Seite bringt Krieg schreckliche Massaker, Krankheiten und Leiden. Auf der anderen Seite hat er einige der größten Erfindungen ermöglicht, die die Welt je gesehen hat. Forschungs- und Entwicklungsarbeit für Rüstungszwecke hat nicht nur das Kommunikations- und Transportwesen, sondern auch die Medizin revolutioniert. Sie hat Erfindungen hervorgebracht, die der Menschheit zugute kommen und sich für den alltäglichen Gebrauch eignen. In Kriegszeiten ziehen alle an einem Strang und arbeiten auf ein gemeinsames Ziel hin, wissenschaftliche Ziele stehen über Konkurrenzdenken, und finanzielle Mittel und Personal stehen in Hülle und Fülle zur Verfügung. Einige Erfindungen werden aus der Not geboren, wie beispielweise Margerine aufgrund der Nahrungsmittelknappheit an der Heimatfront. Einige stammen direkt von zerstörenden Waffensystemen ab (Atomkraft), andere wiederum von Verteidigungstechnik (Mikrowelle). Die Ironie des Krieges ist, dass die gleiche Wissenschaft, die zum Töten Abertausender von Menschen erfunden wurde, heute eingesetzt wird, um Leben zu retten. Vom Handy bis zum Haarspray - der Bezug zum Krieg ist in unserem täglichen Leben allgegenwärtig. ‘Erfunden im Krieg’ verfolgt einen Tag im Leben einer ganz normalen Frau und untersucht, inwieweit ihr Leben von Kriegserfindungen beeinflusst wird.
