In April 2004. I asked Alex van den Bogaerdt (author of this tutorial) for his permission to mirror his tutorial here, with some comments on my own, but I got no response from him. RRD4J is written by Sasa Markovic and Arne Vandamme as a pure Java alternative to Tobi's RRDTool set of command line utilities. RRD4J is a pure Java API (with a number of additional utilities) for RRD file handling and related graph creation.
